Julian Smith
Managing Director
Julian owns and manages Arq International and leads our activity in Global Custody and Securities Services. With experience of recruiting the management teams of many of the world's leading Global Custodians, Julian has also been instrumental on a number of mergers and aquisitions in the sector as well as advising clients on HR and talent issues more generally. He leads MD level and global assignments at the company.
Lucy Cazenove
Director
Lucy Cazenove began working in recruitment in 2000, having graduated from Durham University with a BA Hons in Modern Languages. She has focused on assignments in the Asset Management and Fund Services industry and managed a UK and European recruitment team, prior to joining Arq International in Jan 2007. Lucy has lived in Germany and is fluent in German, Spanish and French.
Laura Castle
Director
Laura holds a BA Hons in Business with Law from Kingston University. Specialising in human resources and marketing, she worked in management roles in the retail sector. Laura joined Arq in 2004 to lead the office management, administration and client liaison functions.
Mai-Lan Nguyen
Consultant
After graduating from Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée University with a 'Licence Mention : Langues, Littératures et Civilisations Étrangères', Mai-Lan moved to England and commenced her career in recruitment in 2002. She previously worked for a specialist investment management recruiter where she developed a wide network in both the Asset Management and Securities Services industries. Mai-Lan has specialised in senior operations assignments and has provided successful recruitment solutions to renowned Asset Management and Fund Services companies.
John Philipsborn
Business Development
Having held a number of senior management positions in Chase Manhattan Bank after becoming Vice-President in 1969, John was heavily involved in the Bank's European activities until his retirement from banking in 1996. He is very familiar with the European corporate community and is well-known to Government, political and business leaders. His advice has been instrumental in the successful development of our business.
Kristine Mulcahy
Administrative Assistant
Kristine joined Arq International in November 2006 to support the team in an administrative capacity. Prior to her role at Arq she has worked in Marketing and Administration; she also gained experience in the public sector. Kristine is currently studying part time for a degree in English Literature.
Emma Nash
Team Assistant
Emma joined Arq in March 2008 to support our expanding client liason team. Having gained experience at a leading retail company and more recently, within property, Emma decided to move to a professional services environment. Her interests outside of work include fitness and reading.
Ann Foster
Client Liaison
Ann has been with the company since it was formed in 1999. Having been closely involved in the company set-up she was office manager for a number of years. Prior to joining Arq, Ann worked for a leading UK investment manager. Ann now works part time focusing on administration and client liaison.
